Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Wilson Newsome recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilgot Pedersson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Bennvar Holger came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Lars Sjöberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. BK Murre's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Sjöberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Vilgot Pedersson in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Bennvar Holger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Timmy Samuelsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
