In the 37th minute Jan-Åke Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. But to his dismay, Uluç Tekinalp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Jan-Åke Fransson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 68 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Åke Fransson. In the 69th minute, Jan-Åke Fransson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-6. Jan-Åke Fransson might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan-Åke Fransson ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Zagórna booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Zagórna's Jan-Åke Fransson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 1-7 after 83 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Åke Fransson in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Marian Gniech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. Zagórna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Jan-Åke Fransson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 1-8.
