A collision led to FC CORK CITY getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Kamel Messina hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Venezuela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristi Cicortaș fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Siim Übi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristi Cicortaș in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Panayot Momchilov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristi Cicortaș kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Cicortaș in the 33rd minute of the match. Medero Arrazs short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 38 minutes into the match, FC CORK CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Siim Übi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 57 played minutes FC CORK CITY got a freekick which was hit by Kamel Messina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Medero Arraz in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zhecho Cholashki kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Cristi Cicortaș struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Siim Übi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 71st minute of play. After 73 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Medero Arraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Siim Übi having to make a save. In the 91st match minute, FC CORK CITY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Cicortaș to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siim Übi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC CORK CITY fully deserved thier win.
