The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Göksel Kutsoy in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Axel Runberg notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Göksel Kutsoy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Göksel Kutsoy was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 21st match minute, KARATAŞ.FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hami Pala to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hjalmar Björck's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hjalmar Björck in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Cevat Sehim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Runberg in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, KARATAŞ.FK's goalkeeper Göksel Kutsoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. 47 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Göksel Kutsoy. Joel Gaona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the match, KARATAŞ.FK's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Göksel Kutsoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KARATAŞ.FK's Göksel Kutsoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 55th minute of play. After 61 played minutes KARATAŞ.FK got a freekick which was hit by Arda Ozan Hanbeyi. Joel Gaona, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Björck in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 68th minute of play forced KARATAŞ.FK's goalkeeper Göksel Kutsoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of KARATAŞ.FK's Göksel Kutsoy. Göksel Kutsoy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Göksel Kutsoy having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Hjalmar Björck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Göksel Kutsoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of KARATAŞ.FK's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. KARATAŞ.FK's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Mexico walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
