Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. J.J J.J. started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd match minute, GALATASARAY O.Z. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gökçen Kulan to maneuver through the defense. Alexsandro Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Gökçen Kulan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 12th minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute of the match Felipe Pernambucano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.J J.J. in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play forced GALATASARAY O.Z.'s goalkeeper Paco Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paco Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paco Zamora saved GALATASARAY O.Z. from getting behind. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from J.J J.J., even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute GALATASARAY O.Z. were awarded a corner. Ludomir Domin went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 42nd minute of the match, Emrullah Toygun tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 43 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ludomir Domin who took care of the corner kick. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Ludomir Domin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when J.J J.J. came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Gökçen Kulan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. J.J J.J. struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GALATASARAY O.Z.. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Paco Zamora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY O.Z. from getting a goal against them. Paco Zamora made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. 77 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY O.Z.'s goalkeeper Paco Zamora had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by GALATASARAY O.Z.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paco Zamora quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Paco Zamora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of play. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Paco Zamora to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emrullah Toygun in the 89th minute of the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from J.J J.J., even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
