A collision led to Tractorul Satulung -MM- getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Samuel Hall hit a great ball. In the 7th minute of the match, Alper Benli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 9th minute Mădălin Cangeopol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alper Benli's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 12 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marius Tănasă who took care of the corner kick. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Marius Tănasă was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damaso Ubelteso during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Damaso Ubelteso got a free kick in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Sneijder in the 18th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Panait Hațegan. Panait Hațegan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Alper Benli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Alper Benli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Ovidiu Șişman charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ovidiu Șişman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panait Hațegan having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mădălin Cangeopol to make the kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alper Benli in the 51st minute of the match. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Tractorul Satulung -MM- from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Panait Hațegan to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mădălin Cangeopol in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Panait Hațegan quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Alper Benli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alper Benli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Panait Hațegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Panait Hațegan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
