Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Baldomiro Txindoki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomiro Txindoki came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orçun Yalınalp in the 15th minute of the match. Iulian Pietreanus short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Baldomiro Txindoki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orçun Yalınalp in the 28th minute of the match. Baldomiro Txindoki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baldomiro Txindoki having to make a save. 32 minutes into the game, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Iulian Pietreanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iulian Pietreanu to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Baldomiro Txindoki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Baldomiro Txindoki in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Baldomiro Txindoki managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 63rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Txindoki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldomiro Txindoki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Baldomiro Txindoki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of the match. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Petrică Cândreanu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Petrică Cândreanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Wilson Arósio managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilson Arósio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Pietreanu in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Iulian Pietreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baldomiro Txindoki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With his leg Baldomiro Txindoki managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 92 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 95th minute. Petrică Cândreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
