Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Vasconcelos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Futebol Espinhel's Celso Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. Celso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Radoslaw Zukowski sent off a good shot on target. Celso Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Futebol Espinhel's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Celso Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Vasconcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Radoslaw Zukowski came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Futebol Espinhel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radoslaw Zukowski couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Rocha in the 53rd minute of play. Germano Borba made a great header on Futebol Espinhel's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Celso Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Radoslaw Zukowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th match minute, Futebol Espinhel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Santana to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Futebol Espinhel's Celso Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Radoslaw Zukowski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Celso Vasconcelos in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Futebol Espinhel throughout the match.
