The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Golden Generation fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Golden Generation's Huang Rong looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 45th match minute, Golden Generation was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Intxixu to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Axel Montenegro came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Turgay Şeren could save by the left post. Joshua Garrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turgay Şeren having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yorrick Hekman in the 76th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Abram Secada slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Turgay Şeren. That made the score 3-1 after 83 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Carballar in the 87th minute of play forced Golden Generation's goalkeeper Turgay Şeren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Turgay Şeren made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Abram Secada sent off a good shot on target. Abram Secada succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 93rd playminute. Abram Secada came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Turgay Şeren could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Golden Generation had won after a very even match.
