A collision led to B68 Toftir getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Lázaro Lizbeth hit a great ball. After 12 minutes B68 Toftir's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that B68 Toftir's Beat Leutwyler managed to reach the ball for a save. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Lizbeth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mexico booed when B68 Toftir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luca Zorita took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beat Leutwyler. Beat Leutwyler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mexico's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Maximino Goi scored to the left of an out of position Dante Lacasa, making the score, 1-1. After 31 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. A collision led to B68 Toftir getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ruben Dias hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Beat Leutwyler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 45 minutes into the game, Maximino Goi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Maximino Goi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, B68 Toftir's Cristi Floricel got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Joel Gaona scored 2-3 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Beat Leutwyler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, B68 Toftir's Arkādijs Žurka got a free kick in the 60th minute. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Goi in the 63rd minute of play. B68 Toftir's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lázaro Lizbeth in the 64th minute. After taking down the ball on B68 Toftir's corner Maximino Goi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Beat Leutwyler however easily saved by the left post. 69 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Beat Leutwyler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, B68 Toftir's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Beat Leutwyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Lázaro Lizbeth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beat Leutwyler made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Lizbeth in the 86th minute of play. After 93 played minutes B68 Toftir got a freekick which was hit by Arkādijs Žurka. B68 Toftir made a substitution. Bengt-Arne Blomberg replaced Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. After 94 played minutes B68 Toftir got a freekick which was hit by Arkādijs Žurka. The supporters of Mexico booed when B68 Toftir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüseyin Akbulatov didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
