An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of play forced Montechiarugolo AFC's goalkeeper Pär Are to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's Milagros Fraga got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kuzey Sudi got a throw-in 13 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Anfilogino Preda. 19 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Bevilacqua came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniele Bevilacqua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Montechiarugolo AFC's Fedele Testi got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Eraldo Lenzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montechiarugolo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Peru the free kick. In the 25th minute, Eraldo Lenzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. Pär Are showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pär Are made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Peru were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anfilogino Preda to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Montechiarugolo AFC's goalkeeper Pär Are had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Pär Are in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pär Are showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 57th minute of the match. Kuzey Sudi got a throw-in 59 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Anfilogino Preda. The throw-in from Kuzey Sudi in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 63rd minute Anfilogino Preda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pär Are was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Kuzey Sudi charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kuzey Sudi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Kuzey Sudi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montechiarugolo AFC's Fedele Marinetti was substituted for Anfilogino Preda. With a little luck, Montechiarugolo AFC's Pär Are got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Bevilacqua in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Are saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Montechiarugolo AFC booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efraim Gilabert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Eliseo Mina might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pär Are. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Mina ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael Gallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pär Are tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pär Are made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Rafael Gallo sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Eliseo Mina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pär Are. That made the score 0-2 after 94 minutes of play. The Montechiarugolo AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
