With an extended leg and a bit of luck Drini Kapaj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sefedin Gjyle hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mali i Thatë FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mali i Thatë FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luftim Hamdiu in the 16th minute. Luftim Hamdiu made a great header on Mali i Thatë FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Mali i Thatë FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lirim Osja in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mali i Thatë FC's Drini Kapaj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Mali i Thatë FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Mali i Thatë FC's Pajtim Tepelena got a free kick in the 91st minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
