Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 陆阳默 in the 12th minute of play. David Schembri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Toro Martínez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Toro Martínez took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for David Schembri to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Chorche in the 22nd minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Northern California's 陆阳默 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Selatse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Toro Martínez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but David Schembri made a huge save. Hector Martxel kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The tension between the Northern California and the Despidida AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Northern California got a freekick which was hit by Bernard McFrank. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

David Schembri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.
