The Panama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Tomas Berganza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kenneth Thomsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Müslüm Polat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kenneth Thomsen, 3-4. Matthew Garrido got a throw-in 86 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Abraham Alguacil. When Müslüm Polat got free in front of the goal in the 87th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Marcos Cotilla was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Franky Meulders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Panama players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
