When the match had been going on for 5 minutes Luz Tejedor shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Amuruza Lillo when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. When Luz Tejedor came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luz Tejedor couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Junta De Los Rios CF's goalkeeper Amuruza Lillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 11th minute. The corner led to Peru's Alonso Berganza getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 14th minute, Junta De Los Rios CF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Milagros Fraga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Baudelio Echavarri came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 25 played minutes Junta De Los Rios CF got a freekick which was hit by Ferrando Astudillo. 27 minutes into the match, Junta De Los Rios CF's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Amuruza Lillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Mané Balcells came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amuruza Lillo was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Junta De Los Rios CF's Fructuoso Olle got a free kick in the 39th minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amarante Gibert, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amuruza Lillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Amuruza Lillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 81st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Junta De Los Rios CF defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amuruza Lillo. The Junta De Los Rios CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amuruza Lillo should have stopped the shot. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Carballido in the 87th minute of play. Rafael Gallo took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amuruza Lillo. Amuruza Lillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Amuruza Lillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 96th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Peru's Rafael Gallo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amuruza Lillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Peru had won after a very even match.
