When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the game, Jari Lehtinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palloketut's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. After 34 played minutes Palloketut got a freekick which was hit by Jari Lehtinen. In the 41st minute, Salvador Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palloketut's attentive Salomon Itäluoma managed to snatch the ball when Alex Chicote made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Patricio Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rami Lehto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Camilo Gaos made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Palloketut's Teemu Valkealahti. Palloketut's Salomon Itäluoma managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 60 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rami Lehto was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. If Jose Correa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jose Correa made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Palloketut's Salomon Itäluoma. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rami Lehto having to make a save. After 94 minutes, Salvador Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Palloketut players grew even worse after the yellow card. Salvador Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 96th minute of play forced Palloketut's goalkeeper Rami Lehto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Venezuela were the better team. Venezuela's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
