In the 21st minute, one of 68Aksarayspor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 68Aksarayspor. Servet Bahçıvan had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ertan Akağan came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the 68Aksarayspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ertan Akağan couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Servet Bahçıvan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Servet Bahçıvan was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 35th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Servet Bahçıvan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. 68Aksarayspor's Servet Bahçıvan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save 68Aksarayspor from getting a goal against them. A collision led to 68Aksarayspor getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ahmet Tolga Demirer hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 54th minute. The supporters of Venezuela booed when 68Aksarayspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Poza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ertan Akağan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Servet Bahçıvan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Servet Bahçıvan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 65 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 68Aksarayspor the free kick. In the 68th minute, Ertan Akağan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 72 played minutes 68Aksarayspor got a freekick which was hit by Nejat Alp Adak. After having played for 89 minutes, Ertan Akağan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 68Aksarayspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ertan Akağan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
