After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Romon Oliver got a free kick in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Stelian Gorun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demonde Jacobson was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the game, Ticul's Valeriu Tatomir nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After 38 played minutes, Ticul's Stelian Gorun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ticul reached it. In the 39th minute Lucian Josan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demonde Jacobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Gorun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Gorun in the 45th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Gorun, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jamaall Padmore hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Stelian Gorun sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson didn't even have to move. Valeriu Tatomir's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Demonde Jacobson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vintilă Barascu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Demonde Jacobson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vintilă Barascu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valeriu Tatomir got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson got control of the ball when Valeriu Tatomir tried to sneak it across the goal line.
