Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC NORDLAND's Joar Frisck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 15th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Hernaiz in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Hernaiz in the 32nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ervin Frk managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC NORDLAND's supporters rose to their feet, but Ervin Frk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benno Betancors short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Dante Lacasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 45th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelillo Di Maria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, FC NORDLAND's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Joar Frisck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joar Frisck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Joar Frisck successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joar Frisck. Joar Frisck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Joar Frisck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joar Frisck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Ervin Frk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. After 90 played minutes FC NORDLAND got a freekick which was hit by Alex Hernaiz. Joel Gaona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joar Frisck. FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Joar Frisck came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. FC NORDLAND's Joar Frisck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save FC NORDLAND from getting a goal against them. Mexico were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
