An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 16th minute of play forced Parque Europa FC's goalkeeper Luis Täger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Parque Europa FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Luz Tejedor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luis Täger quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Samuel Ryynänen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Täger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Reyes in the 48th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Froilan Reyes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. With a little luck, Parque Europa FC's Luis Täger got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Parque Europa FC's Luis Täger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 71st minute of play. After 88 minutes Parque Europa FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eliseo Mina who took care of the corner kick.
