Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dainius Bagdonas kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. In the 9th minute, Semail Özbir left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Diego FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tomas Berganza struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Yusuf Stegen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama. Yusuf Stegen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abraham Alguacil showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Yusuf Stegen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dainius Bagdonas in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 minutes, Dainius Bagdonas made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Panama's Marcos Cotilla tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 26 minutes of play, San Diego FC's Semail Özbir made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! 29 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Dainius Bagdonas came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Panama booed when San Diego FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Bihar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Panama's Yusuf Stegen threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 32 minutes into the match, Panama's Abraham Alguacil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yusuf Stegen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save San Diego FC from getting a goal against them. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dainius Bagdonas went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 38th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Talip Ecemiş in the 43rd minute of play. Isidoro Sarmiento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.
After a rather tough play, Panama's Miguel Miralles got a free kick in the 50th minute. Tomas Berganza might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yusuf Stegen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Berganza ran back to his position shaking his head. Yusuf Stegen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 59th minute of the match. Yusuf Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Semail Özbir. In the 65th minute of the match, Semail Özbir tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Cotilla saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf Stegen having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dainius Bagdonas in the 75th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mustafa Kemal Çetinel during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Panama booed when San Diego FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Kemal Çetinel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Isidoro Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Yusuf Stegen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 81 played minutes San Diego FC got a freekick which was hit by Mehmet Şefik Ubeydullah. In the 82ndth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yusuf Stegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 3-5, to the right of San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen. Yusuf Stegen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 89 minutes, Tomas Berganza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the San Diego FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Tomas Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teddy Bourasseau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Panama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching San Diego FC's performance. The match ended with a win for San Diego FC.
