After a defensive mix-up in FC NORDLAND's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joar Frisck came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 played minutes FC NORDLAND got a freekick which was hit by Ervin Frk. The crowd rose to their feet as Andreas Hernaiz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 47 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 55th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. After 60 minutes, Andreas Hernaiz made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joar Frisck firmly grabbed it by the left post. 72 minutes into the match, FC NORDLAND's Rhys Hughes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelillo Di Maria's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 78th match minute, FC NORDLAND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rhys Hughes to maneuver through the defense. If Rhys Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC NORDLAND booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
