Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sam Mccartan couldn't finish the play. In the 58th of the match, Patricio Costa tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Christian Kerville got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Neal Weatherby notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 70 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Christian Kerville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rick Souness came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Chaptal in the 81st minute of play.
