Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Gerold Zollt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 9th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10thth minute of the game Ovidiu Poenaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerold Zollt having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Nóbrega in the 17th minute of play. Gerold Zollt came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gerold Zollt, 2-0. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthieu Richardot, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Tafalla could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Gerold Zollt however easily saved by the left post. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by DJK Füchtel Vechta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Facundo Cadaval got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gerold Zollt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gerold Zollt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, DJK Füchtel Vechta's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Gerold Zollt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Cadaval got free with Gerold Zollt in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When Chris Kursawe fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DJK Füchtel Vechta's protests and gave Chris Kursawe a yellow card for diving instead. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerold Zollt having to interfere. Ovidiu Poenaru came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. 75 minutes into the game, Ren Zhan Cheng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DJK Füchtel Vechta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. Ren Zhan Cheng hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. DJK Füchtel Vechta's Philipp Lahm was substituted for Rea Selbert. After 76 played minutes DJK Füchtel Vechta got a freekick which was hit by Ren Zhan Cheng. Gerold Zollt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mexico had won after a very even match.
