Antonello Bosso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 10th minute of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Attilio Mammarella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Attilio Mammarella in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Shantala Villamediana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Francisco Seco fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Francisco Seco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Seco to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Attilio Mammarella's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zurlo Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
