Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhsin Sinan in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cide Spor's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Fagondo came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes Cide Spor got a freekick which was hit by Anıl Baran Yersel. Yakup Kadri Yezid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cristian Sancho had several of the Cide Spor's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Federico Fagondo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Birsel Keskinel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cide Spor's Harun Gökyüzü was substituted for Richard Luckham. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Agustín Saelices put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Federico Fagondo. After 83 minutes of play, Cide Spor's Bahadırhan Mertol made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cide Spor's Federico Fagondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Cide Spor from getting a goal against them. Bahadırhan Mertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
