In the 4th minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Zarricueta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Guillermo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Horacio Zarricueta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horacio Zarricueta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 18th minute. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Milla, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Horacio Zarricueta made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. After 26 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horacio Zarricueta was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayrton Schumacher in the 36th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goalkeeper Horacio Zarricueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christer Johnsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ayrton Schumacher in the 51st minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horacio Zarricueta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After taking down the ball on Shymkent Camels's corner Jiang Cheng Peng fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thiago Pliego quite easily take care of the ball. In the 71st minute, Shymkent Camels's Ayrton Schumacher ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. In the 73rd minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Zarricueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Jiang Cheng Peng tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horacio Zarricueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 80th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Christer Johnsson took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Thiago Pliego to make any attempt to save it. Boris Lindqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boris Lindqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Boris Lindqvist hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Horacio Zarricueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horacio Zarricueta. Horacio Zarricueta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Chile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
