Evrosi Slivenski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evrosi Slivenski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evrosi Slivenski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Peycho Sheytanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Evrosi Slivenski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evrosi Slivenski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evrosi Slivenski having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evrosi Slivenski having to interfere. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evrosi Slivenski having to interfere. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Evrosi Slivenski. That made the score 0-3 after 63 minutes of play. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Evrosi Slivenski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milcho Kararizov in the 85th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Устрем - Пет могили was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peycho Sheytanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Устрем - Пет могили.
