Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Mexico booed when Krasnodar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonid Malafeev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oriche Vega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Leonid Malafeev came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mexico booed when Krasnodar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Uvarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd match minute, Krasnodar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikhail Ignatov to maneuver through the defense. Krasnodar FC's Oriche Vega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 28th minute of play. After 29 minutes Krasnodar FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Oriche Vega quite easily take care of the ball. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikhail Ignatov in the 31st minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arkadiy Dorenskiy in the 33rd minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Oriche Vega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oriche Vega came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 42nd minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oriche Vega was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 47th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oriche Vega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gennadiy Demyanenko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Krasnodar FC's goalkeeper Oriche Vega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 56 minutes Krasnodar FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Oriche Vega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Krasnodar FC's goalkeeper Oriche Vega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Krasnodar FC's Arkadiy Dorenskiy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The throw-in from Arkadiy Dorenskiy in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mexico's Felix Luque. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkadiy Dorenskiy in the 73rd minute of play. If Leonid Malafeev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Artur Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oriche Vega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 84th match minute, Krasnodar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. Roman Serdyuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Krasnodar FC's Leonid Malafeev got a free kick in the 90th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Mexico's Joel Gaona tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 97th minute of the match Ivan Uvarov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ivan Uvarov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 98th minute, Ivan Uvarov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
