Donato Amatori who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play forced Alba FC's goalkeeper Davide Conte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Alba FC's Ciro Cino shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Julio Vera but with some difficulty. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 46th minute of play forced Alba FC's goalkeeper Davide Conte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Davide Conte in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Davide Conte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Alba FC's Davide Conte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 53rd minute of play. After 59 played minutes Alba FC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Marzulli. Domenico Giocondo hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Alba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Davide Conte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 82nd minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Davide Conte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute of play. Alba FC's Davide Conte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Alba FC from getting a goal against them. After 88 minutes, Daniel Zorita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Alba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Antonio Di Donato hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davide Conte having to interfere. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
