After a rather tough play, Ciudad Tao FC's Robert Juhlin got a free kick in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Åke Markusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 11 minutes, Jonny Hansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciudad Tao FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Åke Markusson. Sven-Åke Markusson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 34th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Åke Markusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Cristian Sancho advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-4 in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Zachrisson in the 38th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valter Karlstedt hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ciudad Tao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sven-Åke Markusson came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sven-Åke Markusson, 0-7. Sven-Åke Markusson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ciudad Tao FC's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Åke Markusson came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ciudad Tao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Juhlin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Sven-Åke Markusson came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. 86 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven-Åke Markusson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-11. Sven-Åke Markusson was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Agustín Saelices capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Agustín Saelices really showed his touch with that goal: 0-12. Ecuador's Felix Montes suffered a torn muscle in his foot after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Robert Juhlin's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Juhlin helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Felix Montes.
