After 24 minutes of play, Griskultingarnas FF's Arman Ekström made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Jochem Klooster kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The supporters of Griskultingarnas FF booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natasha Sjøholm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Natasha Sjøholm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joel Gaona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 90 minute of play. Many of Mexico's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mexico may have spent more time on the ball, but Griskultingarnas FF were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
