Hermanö Oilers's Jerry Vallin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alberto Gisbert, made in the 24th minute of the game. The Hermanö Oilers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 33rd minute, Jaime Cazalla had to leave the field with a concussion. Kevin Carballal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 43 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hermanö Oilers:s goal. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Hermanö Oilers. Emil Wallgren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquin Gayoso. 4-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximiliano Escribano to make the kick off.
