Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dariusz Wos in the 7th minute of the match. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Wassenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute of the match A.C. Patagonia got a corner. USA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rui Costa ran over to the corner to take the kick. 17 minutes into the game, Diego Bradley threw the ball into play from the sideline. A.C. Patagonia's Szymon Jaszyna quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When A.C. Patagonia's Rui Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludwig Wassenius in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to A.C. Patagonia getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rui Costa hit a great ball. A.C. Patagonia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Monty Rogers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. A.C. Patagonia's Maximino Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 50th minute of play. When Ludwig Wassenius came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the A.C. Patagonia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludwig Wassenius couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute of the match, Dariusz Wos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marco Day saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When A.C. Patagonia's Ludwig Wassenius in 59 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Marco Day guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Maximino Ticho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludwig Wassenius. Maximino Ticho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 69th minute of play forced A.C.
