Lance Malliouris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 4th minute. A collision led to FC Schonebeck getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Paul Some hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lance Malliouris could save by the left post. In the 13th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lance Malliouris was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bengt Persson struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Schonebeck. In the 17th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. FC Schonebeck's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luca Zorita made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that FC Schonebeck's Lance Malliouris managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Luca Zorita put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lance Malliouris. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lance Malliouris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselm Hayer in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match FC Schonebeck got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Some ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Schonebeck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Drechsler didn't get a good kick on the ball. 49 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lance Malliouris. Lautaro Mancebo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt Persson was the one to do the kick off. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Malliouris having to interfere. Anselm Hayer kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Lautaro Mancebo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Schonebeck's Lance Malliouris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lance Malliouris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boris Spengler hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Schonebeck's goalie prevented a goal. When Facundo Cadaval fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Facundo Cadaval a yellow card for diving instead. FC Schonebeck's Lothar Drinkard was substituted for Anselm Hayer. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, FC Schonebeck's Paul Some broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lothar Drinkard in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, FC Schonebeck's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Lance Malliouris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. FC Schonebeck's Carmine Anastasi was substituted for Michael Laudrup. In the 80th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the game, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lance Malliouris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A well-hit corner resulted in Lautaro Mancebo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. FC Schonebeck's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paul Some in the 90th minute. The supporters of FC Schonebeck booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Schonebeck's Lance Malliouris tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Joel Gaona got a free kick in the 96th minute. Boris Spengler hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
