Daniele Massaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovanni Falcone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovanni Falcone to make the kick off. The Eugenio Colecchia was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Seggiano's Achille Pasinati was substituted for Giovanni Falcone. After some careless play in the Seggiano defense, Axel Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Colecchia. The Seggiano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Colecchia should have stopped the shot.
