When Gogo Florinio came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Colosos Afc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Florinio couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Colosos Afc defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jess Johnson. The Colosos Afc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jess Johnson should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Modesto Sugar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gogo Florinio was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Florinio in the 57th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Florinio in the 64th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jess Johnson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colosos Afc's Haroldo Dolfos was substituted for Dante Faron. Abelardo Ariando kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
