In the 12th match minute, S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Behzat Amir to maneuver through the defense. Yavuz Bülent İlkim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's supporters crossed their fingers, but Onur Ali Batıhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Onur Ali Batıhan came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onur Ali Batıhan in the 31st minute of the match. When Tomas Illescas, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Thomas Ravelli was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Abidin Taşkın hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Onur Ali Batıhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wang Rong Jing in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 76th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Abidin Taşkın took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Venezuela's goalie and right to Eduardo Camavinga. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Venezuela's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 85 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Thomas Ravelli. Thomas Ravelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 88th minute. The S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Eduardo Camavinga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
