Lautaro Mancebo made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lunatics of Arianrhod's Ernesto Martini. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Martini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Hibai was slow to take the kick. During this time Lunatics of Arianrhod's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Joel Hibai almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Joel Hibai sent off a good shot on target. Lunatics of Arianrhod's attentive Johan Ström managed to snatch the ball when Lautaro Mancebo made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cristoforo Tammaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristoforo Tammaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 19th minute of the match. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lunatics of Arianrhod's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Fedele Panza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunatics of Arianrhod's supporters rose to their feet, but Fedele Panza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristoforo Tammaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 32nd minute of the match. Flavio Morelli kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Lunatics of Arianrhod got a freekick which was hit by Joel Hibai. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lunatics of Arianrhod's Francesco Romino was substituted for Elia Di Sipio. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Hibai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Facundo Cadaval almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro did a great save. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Cristoforo Tammaro made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Hibai came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 70 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Martini came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristoforo Tammaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Luca Zorita scored 0-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristoforo Tammaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Lunatics of Arianrhod from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Romino came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lunatics of Arianrhod getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Dário Pereira hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Panza in the 97th minute of play. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
