Danny Pasquier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 36th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Minier in the 41st minute of play. In the 47th minute, Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Émilien Tessier's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Émilien Tessier helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Edmundo Espiga hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Djorkaeff in the 54th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Danny Pasquier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sébastien Milliot made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Youri Djorkaeff however managed to control. 60 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Guillaume Minier came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Djorkaeff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bilal Moutte got a throw-in 69 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sébastien Milliot. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Youri Djorkaeff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Kubiak came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Danny Pasquier made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Honduras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Avel Vat.
