Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmi Vedernes in the 14th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karljohan Norlander during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Injuries's Karljohan Norlander got a free kick in the 17th minute. A collision led to Injuries getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Heine Dotte hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenny Sandberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Injuries getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Max Hallengren hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Injuries's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenny Sandberg came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Sandberg having to interfere. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kenny Sandberg having to make a save. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jimmi Vedernes to strike the kick off in the second half. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Patricio Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kenny Sandberg. That made the score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Kenny Sandberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenny Sandberg made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kenny Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Injuries's Karljohan Norlander. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joshua Secada during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kenny Sandberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Mariano made in the 93rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. If Jimmi Vedernes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Injuries throughout the match.
