Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mattias Olofsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Mattias Olofsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 36th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joacim Andersson got free with Dante Lacasa in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mattias Olofsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Gaona's shot from short distance in the 50th minute. In the 51st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. With a little luck, StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, StraX Xenon FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luca Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torbjörn Brummer in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Mattias Olofsson in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 69 minutes StraX Xenon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 80th minute. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Mattias Olofsson threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alberto Tafalla's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Mattias Olofsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
