The tension between the Honduras and the BPS F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastian Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Sancho during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Christian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kostas Leonidis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manos Makris. The BPS F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Honduras were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kostas Leonidis to strike the kick off in the second half. Thomas Tsolakopoulos's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Tsolakopoulos helped the player get up and apologised. Thomas Tsolakopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Manos Makris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 56th minute of play. Christos Kardaris made in the 59th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Thomas Tsolakopoulos however managed to control. With a little luck, BPS F.C.'s Manos Makris got control of the ball when Edmundo Espiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kostas Leonidis in the 74th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Tafalla in the 76th minute of play forced BPS F.C.'s goalkeeper Manos Makris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of BPS F.C. booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Stratos Goumas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stratos Goumas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Esteban Carvallo lost his temper 96 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! Stratos Goumas shot the penalty kick right outside the post. BPS F.C. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Honduras had controlled the match.
