Eriberto Cordero came out of the goal and Luís Guilherme Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean Paiva made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Breogan got free with Eriberto Cordero in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
