Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry Silver in the 12th minute of play. Maccabi Netanya's Raul Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darwin Núñez in the 19th minute of play. Jori Pereire hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Terry Silver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Mateo Llorienzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Raimundo Gonsalvo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Zoff came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Merengue FC's Aquiles Urtsin. But to his dismay, Aquiles Urtsin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mateo Llorienzo made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Tadmor Netaniyahu sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Tadmor Netaniyahu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mateo Llorienzo. That made the score 1-1 in the 48 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aquiles Urtsin to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Jago in the 55th minute of play forced Maccabi Netanya's goalkeeper Raul Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jori Pereire hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Raul Zoff was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aquiles Urtsin. 58 minutes into the match, Maccabi Netanya's goalkeeper Raul Zoff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquiles Urtsin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Urtsin in the 59th minute of play forced Maccabi Netanya's goalkeeper Raul Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Merengue FC booed when Maccabi Netanya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Silver didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingo Jago got free with Raul Zoff in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, Maccabi Netanya's Tadmor Netaniyahu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Llorienzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darwin Núñez got free with Raul Zoff in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Merengue FC's Darwin Núñez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raul Zoff. Raul Zoff yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Aquiles Urtsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadmor Netaniyahu came free, but Mateo Llorienzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Maccabi Netanya's Terry Silver got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Terry Silver struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Mateo Llorienzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maccabi Netanya. Maccabi Netanya's Raul Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Urtsin in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Domingo Jago reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raul Zoff. The goal made the score 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Merengue FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
