If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustín Saelices blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Espen Lyngsby having to make a save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Vergulescu in the 28th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Espen Lyngsby was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Espen Lyngsby didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice moves Claudiu Şerbănoiu could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 45 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Espen Lyngsby in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Şerbănoiu in the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Whitmore's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristi Dinu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to -BZF- Ursus Magura getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Cristi Dinu hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Cristi Dinu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihăiţă Vergulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Espen Lyngsby acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Daniel Zorita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of play forced -BZF- Ursus Magura's goalkeeper Espen Lyngsby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Espen Lyngsby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st match minute, -BZF- Ursus Magura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Dinu to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
