An unexpectedly hard shot by David Dalgren in the 22nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilhelm Brander was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Dalgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Bror Lundqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bror Lundqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bror Lundqvist in the 31st minute of play. Kronan's Vilhelm Brander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Kronan from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bror Lundqvist in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

51 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Kronan's Vilhelm Brander. Vilhelm Brander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vilhelm Brander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 56th minute of play forced Kronan's goalkeeper Vilhelm Brander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Bror Lundqvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. Valter Åkerman's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valter Åkerman helped the player get up and apologised. Valter Åkerman kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Mexico's Joel Gaona looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 83 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bror Lundqvist. Vilhelm Brander had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kronan's goalkeeper Vilhelm Brander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Kronan getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Jonathan Quexal hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mexico fully deserved thier win.
