Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. If Günalp Akcebe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kahyaspor's Nadir Siddik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 21st minute of play. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Kahyaspor's Peter Kobliček fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. The supporters of Kahyaspor booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Müjdat Öktürk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kahyaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Müjdat Öktürk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peter Kobliček was the one to do the kick off. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Kobliček in the 54th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Kahyaspor's goalkeeper Nadir Siddik had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Kobliček in the 71st minute of play. With a little luck, Kahyaspor's Nadir Siddik got control of the ball when Lautaro Puig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nadir Siddik was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Lautaro Puig capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Puig really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Kahyaspor's Nadir Siddik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Kahyaspor from getting a goal against them. Reşit Nejat hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Although Kahyaspor had been in control for most of the match, Costa Rica still came away with the win.
