Manfred Bruse hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kamiel Ingelborgh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute of play forced Ad Fundum's goalkeeper Kamiel Ingelborgh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tran Vrolijcx. Kamiel Ingelborgh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Kamiel Ingelborgh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 51st minute of play. Kamiel Ingelborgh was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Facundo Cadaval capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Facundo Cadaval really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Tran Vrolijcx took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Kamiel Ingelborgh threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
