After 8 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Nemanja Vidić. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Andriy Lunin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Andriy Lunin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Milagros Fraga got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 26th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 34th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andriy Lunin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernan Melber kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Peru's Anthony Alvarado got a free kick in the 42nd minute. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, David Elodio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some careless play in the Peru defense, Ödön Szily kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 67th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Andriy Lunin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Matthias Ginter in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Steffen Michalsky kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Peru's Milagros Fraga got a free kick in the 71st minute. David Elodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andriy Lunin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Elodio in the 91st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andriy Lunin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Siegfried Danielzick was substituted for Kevin Schade. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. made a substitution. Nisar Burkart replaced Niculae Ungureanu. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Eustaquio Brufau was substituted for Bernardinho Alagoano. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eliseo Mina in the 99th minute. The corner led to Peru's Antonio Tenorio getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
